The Chavurah will meet on February 15, following the Shabbat service and communal lunch, to read and discuss the Torah portion Yitro. In this parashah, Moses tells his father-in-law about the miracle of the Exodus and Jethro is so impressed he makes a sacrifice to the Israelite God. Jethro gives Moses some advice on leadership. The Israelites then camp at the foot of Mount Sinai. After three days, the mountain fills with smoke and Adonai delivers the Ten Commandments to the people.
