The Chavurah will meet on December 21, following our Shabbat service and communal lunch. The Torah portion for that day is Vayeshev, and it is so jam-packed with events that it is hard to summarize briefly. We see how Jacob’s preference for his son Joseph leads to this son’s being sold into slavery by his brothers, and how Joseph ends up as a servant in the house of Potiphar, and then as a prisoner.
